Claytor Lake State Park offers a wide variety of activities for water and land enthusiasts. Ideal for swimming, camping, hiking, sailing, and picnicking, Claytor Lake is known for sport fishing and boating. The park has a full-service marina with docking slips, supplies, fuel, boat rentals and refreshments.
Claytor Lake State Park Ambassadors are a Friends group that act as a support group for the park. The Ambassadors officially formed in November 2014. Our group provides assistance with recreation and educational opportunities while also helping to conserve the natural environment.

Our Mission
To act as a non-profit Citizen Support Organization assisting in conserving the natural, cultural scenic and recreational resources of Claytor Lake State Park; to assist in providing a variety of recreational and educational opportunities, and to assist in promoting environmental stewardship.
Our Vision
Claytor Lake State Park Ambassadors will strive to see that Claytor Lake State Park facilities remain, at or are improved to, ideal standards and that funding is made available for projects and programs that benefit patrons, all while conserving the natural environment of the park.
